Spirituality versus Religion
Much food for thought in this quote of the day from filmmaker Oliver Stone:
"Organized religion is for people who are afraid of hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been to hell."

Asa Faith: Speaking of religion, this morning I was thinking about a comment on the subject that I heard from a comedian a while back...
"Why is it that people who are the most eager to 'share their faith' with you never ask you to share your faith with them?"
I think I know the answer to the comedian's question. Those people are Meists. It's like some who called me to ask about my arteriogram, listened for one minute or less, then talked for 30 minutes or more about their illnesses and doctors and tests. I would prefer to hear from those good old Deists.
